Catastrophe!

Only 2 sleep til the Brisbane/Soundwave & Gold Coast/Theme Parks trip!!

I'm trying not to get too excited about it, though I sorta am - I think mostly because there's no time restraints & we're all on holidays doing what we want when we want with no need to be anywhere - I love that :)

Today I got Julia Stone's solo album 'Memory Machine' & it's pretty sweet. I think my favourite song so far is 'Catastrophe' because it's probably the most upbeat song I've ever heard her sing.

I made some sushi today. I also ate a lot of that sushi, like A LOT, like 2 whole rolls to myself & now I'm mega full!! But it was gooood.

Today I think I got the rest of whatever I need for the trip & tomorrow I need to do some packing. I don't really like packing, like it makes me more excited about wherever I'm going but I hate the feeling that I've aaaaaalways forgotten something. & it's weird because it's not as if I'm going to some barren land where I'll be isolated & have no access to any shops - it's quite the opposite - yet I still can never shake that feeling.

& Greg gave me an Iron Maiden tee today haaha

Valentines Day today & I would have been completely satisfied with a snuggle...

Buuuut I was spoilt & had flowers delivered at work - 10 Roses, 4 Lilies, 4 Gerberas. Then a great coffee together in the afternoon & a lil bag full of treats - some special organic tea, some more special tea, a delicious candle, a magnificent wooden box & cool leather bracelets. Man, more than happy :) He's a very great man, more than words can describe.

That's pretty much all I have to write about really, just really happy :)

OHH & our Soundwave trip is completely booked now! Soooo excited!!

Brisbane for 4 nights, Gold Coast for 3 nights with passes to every theme park, then one last night in Brisbane... Can't wait!

Right now we're prepping for cyclone Yasi - a HUUUUGE ONE!!

I think we're as prepped as we can be. My house isn't close to the ocean or any rivers, though due to crappy drainage in the streets, we usually get pretty damn flooded. So thank goodness we're not in a red zone & haven't had to evacuate.

My phone is all charged up & I've got a car charger for it, my iPod, my camera, I've got my hard-drive, a backpack ready just in case, tonnes of food, gallons of water... Nothing else that I can really think that would be desperately needed right now.

The sucky thing is going to be having no power & more than likely no telecommunications, EFF!! I hate blackouts something fierce, but I should just be thankful that we get to stay in our own home.

My man Ben & his family are doing it real hard - lives right on the beach, his mum is out of town, had to be evacuated, maaaan it's so fucked.

Anyway, I'm going to go & have a shower, could be the last one I have in a lil while...
